Extra money…those are some great words to hear right?  Well let me share with you one way that you can save up some “extra” :

Start a change jar…yep, it’s THAT simple!  At the end of the day empty your pocket or wallet of the loose change into a jar; at the end of the week empty the cup holder or door pocket of your car of the loose change.  Obviously,  this isn’t going to get you rich overnight, it will take some time but it is a way for you to accumulate money without too many pains of saving.  Then, once you have accumulated some – decide on the wisest place to use it.  You can apply it to a debt balance, put it into savings, set it aside to use as fun money, for a vacation, or maybe to use as you start Christmas shopping???

Now if you are in a financial place to do so and REALLY want to add a twist…use this same method with $1 bills.  For those REBEL RISK TAKERS…do the same method using $5 bills (but make sure you are in a good place financially before you do this).

My point is, you can start with small by saving your loose change and then as you get in better financial shape get creative – saving can be fun!  Don’t get bogged down in the time frame or what seems like a desperate situation.  Your brain wants to be right so if you start down that road-THAT is what you’ll find.  If you change your perspective, get creative, have fun with it-THAT is what you’ll find.  It’s up to you how you look at the situation and how you attack it.
