Hey hey everyone, I hope you are doing FANTASTIC and starting to see some progress toward your financial goals!
One thing I’ve noticed is that several people have a negative mindset when it comes to budgeting or creating a spending plan. Just the word “budget” makes them cringe. They WANT the result but are very slow to take the plunge in getting started because they feel like they will be restricted, they can’t buy what they want or need.
Do you want to know ONE THING that will GUARANTEE successful movement toward hitting your goals? Since it’s just us here, I will share it with you…our little secret. Living and being intentional – yep that’s it!
That is what is required to get you to your finish line. Once you get your Budget/Spending Plan balanced, you must live intentionally. Be intentional with how you spend your money, with what you spend your money on, with the choices you make, with your decisions. LIVE intentional – that is the KEY TO SUCCESS!
One example is to think of this – you know when you are hungry and go to the grocery store? Your cart gets loaded down with a bunch of this and that (mostly junk) that all sounds oh so good. THEN you get home and realize you spent a boat load of money but don’t have one full, complete meal in any of the bags! You can easily spend $100 or more and have nothing but junk food. If you had been intentional with your shopping, made a meal plan or even just a list, then nothing is to say you couldn’t buy a few “treats” but at least you would have gotten home with MEALS as well.
So I’m using that to show you that the KEY is BEING/LIVING INTENTIONAL and you CAN have “treats” but that intentionality helps you have both meals AND treats. Does that make sense?
If you would like to talk further about being intentional, I’d love to schedule a Coaching Call (one hour $25) with you. You can come away with a Spending Plan custom to YOUR needs and then action steps on how to be intentional about implementing it. If you’d like to schedule a Call, email me at: budgetwithcarla@gmail.com or if you are in my Facebook Group (Budgeting Basics-A Journey to Debt Free Living) you can send a PM thru there.
